The aim of the project is to put the emphasis on our common roots, our common culture through the investigation and activities on famous European people and events. So the idea is that students will focus on people and events that have had an impact on Europe and the rest of the world. However the activities will not be centred on national people and events in our own countries. The outcomes of the students´work will be shared at each meeting, presented in each school afterwards and disseminated. In this way we can show how much we can promote the European high standards we have achieved and make our students aware of their European citizenship and be proud of it. There will be a different theme for each meeting. Nonetheless, the local culture and heritage should not be put aside and forgotten and will be shared with all the partners as diversity is also part of Europe. The host partner will therefore, in relation to the selected theme, organise workshops to widen the students´ knowledge on the hosting country.
